When you’re shopping for vape tanks, the huge variety of available options can make it difficult to know where to begin. Even though there are plenty of excellent vaping tanks on the market, not all of them are going to suit your vape style – so understanding exactly what makes them different is key. Here are a few factors to keep in mind when you’re browsing our selection of vape atomizers mod tanks:
The first question to ask yourself is what mod are you planning to pair with your new tank? Not all vape atomizer tanks can be paired with just any old box mod, so checking compatibility is key. Some vapor tanks can only be used with vaping devices mods from the same brand or product series, while others are much more flexible. It’s not unusual for certain brands to design mods, tanks, and coils that are created to be used together, rather than mixed and matched with other brand’s products. However, many devices use a standard 510 connection, which gives you greater flexibility in the tank you choose.
Another important characteristic of a vape tank is its size and capacity. While you might assume that the tank with the highest capacity is the easy choice, you have to remember that a larger capacity equals a larger size. If you don’t mind carrying a bulkier tank around, you can easily find capacities up to and over 6 mL of vape juice. However, if portability is a priority, it may be a better idea to find something that hits the “sweet spot” between capacity and size.
While many tanks have interchangeable mesh coils that offer a variety of resistance level options, some are limited to just one pre-installed coil – so choose wisely. If you want to be able to enjoy sub-ohm vaping, then be sure to check the specifications and replacement coils of the tanks you’re considering.
While many vapers choose a standard tank to pair with their vape mod, another option is to try a Clearomizer. Compact, affordable, convenient, and incredibly user-friendly, a Clearomizer is a solid addition to any vaper’s collection.
Finally, think about your personal vape preferences and style. No two vapers are exactly alike, and we all have a certain way of vaping. Thanks to the diverse mod tank options on the market, you can find something that feels like it’s been customized perfectly to fit you.
For example, if you’re searching for a vape that provides an experience more like traditional cigarettes you might want to put together a low-power, restricted-airflow set-up (also called mouth-to-lung vaping). You’ll also be able to decide between different colors, finishes, and even patterns when searching for vape tanks for sale. Whether you like your vape to be sleek and subtle or colorful and packed with personality, you can easily find a tank that speaks to your style.
When you’re shopping for a new tank, odds are you have a few priorities in mind: quality, performance, durability, style, and price point. Finding a tank that measures up to all your expectations might seem like a tall order, but there’s no better place to do it than right here at VaporFi.

A vape tank, also known as an atomizer, is the vape device component that holds your vape juice as well as the coil which heats up and vaporizes the e-liquid. On most vape devices, the tank sits on top of the battery. Tanks are usually made of glass cylindrical bodies with metallic tops and bottoms. They contain a wick that soaks up e-liquid which is then heated by the coil.
Some of the main aspects to consider when purchasing a vape tanks are:
E-liquid Capacity - how much vape juice the tank holds.
Coil resistance (Higher resistance coils provide more of a cigarette like throat hit while lower resistance coils are geared toward producing more vapor).
E-liquid Refilling System - how the tank is refilled with vape juice. Some tanks are top-fill designs, others are bottom-fill designs. In addition, many tanks have additional child-proofing or leak-protection features.
Adjustable Airflow Control - many tanks allow you to tweak the airflow to customize your experience.
Construction materials - consider upgrading to Pyrex glass or reinforced stainless steel designs to keep the tank from cracking.
Sub-ohm tanks that feature low-resistance (less than 1 ohm) and high e-liquid capacity. They are geared towards cloud-chasing and the production of huge, voluminous clouds. Thus, they have become very popular, especially in professional vaping circles. At VaporFi, you’ll find plenty of 0.5 ohm tanks for smooth vaping.
Rebuildable Atomizer Tanks, or RBA’s, are tanks designed for custom built coils. Thus, they are generally the preference of more advanced vapers looking to further tailor their individual experience.
Depending on how much you vape, coils can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Cleaning can extend the life but eventually you will need to replace the coil. If your vape juice is tasting burnt or the vapor production is weak, it’s probably time for a new coil.
Don't get e-liquid down the center tube. This can cause issues by flooding the coils with too much liquid and creating a mess.
Take care while filling. Using an e-liquid bottle with a fine tip can help with more accurate dispensing of the vape juice and avoid spillage when the tank is not a top-fill.
Respect the top marking on the tank if there is one, spillage can occur if you overfill your tank.
However, if you overfill your tank, the best thing to do is to detach the tank from the battery, use a paper towel to soak up the excess e-liquid, and blow through the airway to clear any additional extra fluid.
Make sure to let the vape juice soak into the tank’s wick for 5-10 minutes after refilling. This will help you avoid having a burnt taste when you power up your device again..
As with any vaping equipment used over time, build up accumulates on tanks. However, it’s possible to extend the life of your tanks with a little extra cleaning and maintenance. Here are some tips:
Basic cleaning is easy: just take apart all the components of your tank and run them under hot tap water.
You can rinse wicks as well, however you should remove as much moisture as you can with a paper towel and then let them dry for 24 hours before using them again.
Placing wicks in a sealed container of rice will help them dry more quickly.
For more heavy duty cleaning of gunky heating coils, soaking the heads in pure grain alcohol or strong clear liquor can help. Don’t use normal rubbing alcohol.
At some point, you need a replacement coil. It’s a good rule of thumb to try these cleaning processes once or twice, but after that, you might just reach a point of no return.
