It's Going Down
Tonight is the night: Bellator 177 is going down and you best be aware of the action lined up for this night of amazing fights. The fight night will be taking place in Budapest, Hungary at the Budapest Sports Arena, and the four-fight Main Card will be broadcast in the States on Spike TV at 9:00 PM ET. During the Main Event, expect to catch a vicious duel between VaporFi-sponsored Eduardo Dantas from MMA as he takes on Leandro Higo. In Our Corner
VaporFi is exceptionally pleased to be sponsoring the one and only, immensely talented, voraciously savage Eduardo Dantas during this fight, which has been hotly anticipated by all in the MMA community. This main event has been the talk of the town for a while, especially considering that Dantas currently holds a title that many would love to see him lose; he is considered one of the finest fighters in the Bantamweight class. Currently standing at a record of 19-4, along with being the title holder, suffice it say, Dantas is a force to be reckoned with!
As life is known to throw unexpected curve balls at a moment’s notice, tonight’s main event was supposed to include several different details. However, due to the weigh-in results that occurred yesterday, things have taken a dramatic turn. The Dantas VS Higo fight was originally going to be a major 5-round title-fight, but due to Higo missing the weight limit by several pounds, coming in at 139 lbs, the fight will now be a 3-round fight that will not result in a title. Higo, who holds a record of 17-2, has to pray to finish well to avoid losing his ability to compete for a title in the near future. Both parties were not pleased by this, particularly Higo, who has never missed a weigh-in previously. However, regardless, the fight will go on, and will hopefully be a positive outcome for #TeamVaporFi!
