Team VaporFi MMA Sets its Site on Bellator 189!
With another exciting fight night on the horizon, it is the pleasure of Team Vaporfi MMA to announce its sponsorship of two distinct and highly talented mixed martial artists as they step into the cage and battle for bragging rights and competitive supremacy. On December 1st, 2017, Bellator 189 will throw down at the Windstar World Casino & Resort in Thackersville, Oklahoma; a battle royal that is sure to offer more than its fair share of jaw-dropping action.
And with its continued dedication towards promoting both established as well as up-and-coming fighters, Team Vaporfi MMA is honored to sponsor Chidi Njoku-Ani and Sam Sicilia as they battle for their way up the ranks, and of course, FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO VAPE!
Broadcasting live on Spike TV, Bellator 189 will host a number of marquee, must see matchups, including the main card featuring Chidi Njoku-Ani against Hisaki Kato, and Sam Sicilia who will battle Marcos Galvao. As with many of Bellator MMA’s past main events held across the United States, and given the skill, ability and unique fighting styles these athletes possess, expect the level competition to be nothing short of spectacular!
With a continuing partnership between Vaporfi and Bellator MMA, the magnitude of fighting talent discovered across the globe has been extraordinary. Much like the fighters we select to promote, Team Vaporfi MMA strives to encompass a raw combination of unbridled ambition and the overwhelming desire to succeed – against all odds. Such qualities are strong and equally shared within both the world of MMA and the vape movement. Because of this unified determination, Team Vaporfi MMA came into its own as a promotional force to benefit the two thriving industries.
On the fight card for Bellator 189, Team Vaporfi’s Chidi “Chidi Bang Bang” Njoku-Ani is on a collision course with Hisaki “The Japanese Musketeer” Kato in what should be a fierce battle of opposing styles from start to finish. Njoku-Ani, 28, specializes in Muay Thai and Kickboxing and is impressive on the offensive. Upon signing with Bellator MMA in 2015, Njoku-Ani has overwhelmed opposing fighters with lightning quick kick-punch body combinations, garnering a 17-5 record, 10 by KO/TKO. His opponent, Hisaki Kato is an accomplished mixed martial artist who grew up training in Judo and Karate. Having won 5 consecutive national martial arts competitions in Japan, Kato, 35, successfully debuted at Bellator 139 in June of 2015, and for his efforts, has amassed an 8-2 record with 7 wins coming by KO/TKO.
Also representing Team Vaporfi is Sam Sicilia who will take on former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Marcos “Loro” Galvao. Sicilia is as no-nonsense as it gets. All business, he sees no need for a nickname, and his MMA fighting style echos that straight-up mentality. A professional competitor and UFC alum, Sicilia, 31, signed on with Bellator in 2017 where he looks to add to his career match record of 15-8, with 8 wins decided by KO/TKO. In the other corner, is Marcos Galvao, 35. The Brazilian, who goes by the nickname “Loro” (“blonde” in Portuguese) is as colorful of a fighter as his hairstyle. A mixed martial artist who turned pro in 2003, he has been with Bellator nearly his entire career, having ranked No. 2 in the Bantamweight division in 2007 and later winning the Bellator Bantamweight Title in 2015.
With these epic matchups on tap, as well as the entire lineup of incredible MMA action, be sure to tune in to Spike TV at 9/8 Central this Saturday night for Bellator 189. And of course, be ready to watch Team Vaporfi MMA compete to capture the cage as they FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO VAPE! Don’t miss it!
