About Josh “The Juggernaut” Appelt

Appelt is one of the most exciting fighters at the moment, and he is riding the high of a 6-fight win streak, currently. Perhaps it has something to do with being a part of the VaporFi #VapeFam, and enjoying the awesome VaporFi vaporizers he’s scored due to the partnership, but we’re certain chilling out effectively with the right vape juice has enabled him to bring his A game to every match. (Yeah, we think very highly of our products!) In a matter of mere months, he has gone from an unknown fighter to a solid Bellator contender, and this guy has no intention of halting the success anytime soon. Back in February, Josh “The Juggernaut” Appelt dealt a mind-blowing TKO on Josh Lanier, winning the fight. A week later, he was suddenly given the opportunity to face Manny Lara in the cage, knowing it was going to be a seriously tough match to take on such short notice, but nonetheless, the hungry Juggernaut took the chance and ran. This fight proved more technical and difficult than the previous bout with Josh Lanier, however the challenge was the perfect situation to show the world what he’s made of, and Josh put on an exquisite display of grappling skill. This win gave him a major edge, making him 3-0 in Bellator wins, and led the way for Josh to secure a spot with the MMA promotion.
Hailing from Olivehurst, CA, and bringing with him an impressive roster of athleticism, which includes having been a collegiate football player, as well as a wrestler, Joshua Appelt is the perfect addition to the Bellator heavyweight lineup. A well-rounded family man, with a career as a full-time gold dredge operator, his growing success in the world of fighting is not an opportunity that Appelt takes lightly.
A fighter with the MMA Gold Fight Team, and a recent Bellator Tournament contender, Appelt is especially pleased  to be fighting in the Bellator cage. When asked about his thoughts on the chance to fight with them, he remarked: “I like the Bellator tournament format, it tests a fighter not just physically but mentally, you have to try and stay healthy, and not get hurt!”  At age 32, standing at 5’10” and 243 lbs, Josh’s range of maneuvers and skills in the cage have been very well-received by his opponents, who have been overwhelmingly impressed by his wrestling, grappling, and striking capabilities. His keen ability to deliver a fight with a consistent, relentless ambush has enabled him to

hold a steadily excellent record of 12 wins, 5 losses.
Appelt VS Kharitonov

As awesome as Josh Appelt is, he will be fighting against an opponent just as worthy. Sergei Kharitonov brings an incredible history of fighting success to this match against The Juggernaut, and it is sure to be an incredible fight. The 35 year old Russian striker trains with the Golden Glory Association, and he boasts an impressive record of 23 wins, 5 losses, on a current winning streak of 5 wins. At 6’4”, 260lb, he is a heavyweight veteran of several promotions, including Strikeforce, PRIDE Fighting Championships, and DREAM, and he has just recently signed with Bellator. Everyone who knows what this beast is capable of is looking forward to this bout, and we’re sure it will be highly entertaining to see these warriors in attack-mode.
Main Event at Bellator 154

The main event at Bellator 154 is going to be the fight featuring light heavyweight Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal vs Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis, a former fighter with UFC. Both holding impressive records, this one’s going to be a crazy exciting fight, and the winner will advance to fight Liam McGeary for the title! As if the Appelt/ Kharitonov were not enough of a reason to tune in, here’s another!
