Who is Louis Taylor?

Louis “Put the Guns Down” hails from Chicago, Illinois. He trains with the Chicago Fight Team association, and we are so excited to have this incredible athlete fighting for the VaporFi vape fam during WSOF 32 on July 30! We know he’s going to bring a volatile fight, and he’s fighting for the top spot as a middleweight contender, so this will be an amazing night of MMA. Louis Taylor has been a warrior all his life; it just happens to be his particular talent. After demonstrating exceptional skill in wrestling from an early age, he went on to compete at Eastern Illinois University, which opened up the perfect transition into a career in MMA.

At age 37, and fighting professionally since 2007, Louis Taylor is a beast when he hits the cage. Standing at 5’ 11”, 185 lbs, and running on a current 5-win streak, with a record of 12-3, we are never disappointed with the level of skill and precision “Put the Guns Down” fights with. Formerly with Strikeforce and Bellator, since signing with the World Series of Fighting promotion, Taylor has been unstoppable. After an exceptional first fight with WSOF, back in March he really asserted his confidence. During that fight, it took a mere 29 seconds before he submitted his opponent, Cory Devela to come out victorious. Of all 5 of the wins Taylor has accomplished as of late, each one has concluded inside of a round.
