With the main card set for Bellator 190, Team Vaporfi's Brandon Girtz is more than ready to throw down with Luka Jelcic in the co-main event seen as one of the marquee matches of the event. A fierce lightweight competitor since his wrestling days at Minnesota State University, Girtz, 32, joined Bellator in 2008, amassing 14 victories. His collegiate background has proven lethal when he gets his opponents off their feet, winning eight of his bouts by submission. But what really sets Girtz apart is his unwillingness to give up. Though losing his last bout in a rematch with Derek Campos, the TKO result was due to a doctor's stoppage. A bloodied gash was suffered when Campo's knee struck Girtz in the forehead. Tough luck aside, anyone who steps into the cage with this guy knows they are in for a serious confrontation. And that's what Luka Jelcic expects this Saturday night in Florence. Nicknamed "The Hitman," Jelcic is a formidable lightweight contender in his own right. With 10 wins to his credit, Jelcic, 28, also looks to overwhelm his opponents by way of submission, with 50% of his victories achieved via tap-out. A newcomer to Bellator MMA, this will be Jelcic's debut fight for the promotion company.

Lena Ovchynnikova vs. Mary Rouse Mejia

Also repping for Team Vaporfi MMA, Lena "Hunter" Ovchynnikova FIGHTS FOR YOUR RIGHT TO VAPE as she faces Mary Rouse Mejia in the women's main card matchup. A tactical Muay Thai kickboxer, Ovchynnikova joins Girtz and Jelcic as a submission specialist, winning eight of her 12 MMA pro fights due to her opponents yielding. A former world champion, Ovchynnikova held multiple kickboxing title belts before setting her sights towards mixed martial arts. Signing with Bellator in 2016, Ovchynnikova, 30, now looks to better her chances at an MMA title bout with a victory this Saturday in Italy. Her opponent, Mary Rouse Mejia, is a virtual unknown set on making a name for herself against the heavily favored Ovchynnikova. With 1 professional win to her credit, Mejia claimed victory by - you guessed it - submission. Clearly, there is a theme here, however, Mejia knows she's got her hands full against The Hunter's established presence in the cage.
