Lightweight Brandon Girtz has had an impressive MMA career over the past decade. At 33 years of age, his athletic accomplishments are many and his abilities in the cage are precisely on-point. Hailing from Mankato, Minnesota, and a member of the Grudge Training Center, Girtz represents everything we celebrate in a fighter. Though Girtz was originally not scheduled to fight again with Bellator until later this year, a prime last-minute opportunity arose, in which Brent Primus was no longer in line to take on Michael Chandler during tonight’s match. Girtz stepped up to the plate, and we cannot wait to see what he unleashes during Bellator 197!
